Infosys, LTIMindtree top losers on Nifty50 as market extends sell-off; ONGC most active stock on April 16

Sensex, Nifty extend sell-off: Top gainers & losers

Benchmark indices on Tuesday extended their sharp fall for the third straight session. The domestic indices were dragged by technology and state-owned lenders. Headline index NSE Nifty tanked 125 points or 0.56% to close at 22,148-level. The 30-share BSE pack settled 456 points or 0.62% lower at 72,944. Top losers on the Nifty50 platform were Infosys, LTIMindtree, IndusInd Bank, Bajaj Finserv and Wipro while gainers included Eicher Motors, HUL, ONGC, Titan and Divi's Labs. Equity benchmarks will be closed on Wednesday (April 17) due to Ram Navami. Trading will resume on Thursday (April 18).

Active stocks on April 16, 2024

Stocks such as ONGC, Infy, HDFC Bank, Reliance Industries and ICICI Bank were most active on NSE today, in terms of value. Tata Steel, NTPC and SBI were the other buzzing stocks on the platform, in terms of volume.

Sun Pharma Advanced share price today

Shares of Sun Pharma Advanced Research Company Ltd emerged as the top loser in the NSE 500 index. The stock cracked 5% on NSE today to settle at Rs 368.45. At this price, the company commanded a market capitalisation (m-cap) of Rs 11,957 crore.

KEI Industries share price today

KEI Industries Ltd shares slumped 3.89% to close at Rs 3,849.2. The company's m-cap came at Rs 34,735.7 crore.

Honasa Consumer share price today

Honasa Consumer Ltd (Mamaearth's parent) shares tanked 3.8% to close at Rs 380.15. The company's m-cap stood at Rs 12,326.1 crore. Infosys, Mphasis, Jyothy Labs and Coforge were some of the other losers on NSE 500.

Shares of Exide Industries Ltd rose sharply today. The stock surged 12.41% to close at Rs 459.8 on Tuesday. At this price, the company's market cap stood at Rs 39,083 crore.
