Pathaan trailer was released on YRF’s official social media handles and YouTube channels on Tuesday
The trailer of the upcoming SRK film has amassed over 3.6 million views in just 3 hours since its release at 11 am
Shah Rukh Khan tweeted the Pathaan trailer and wrote, “Mehemaan nawaazi ke liye Pathaan aa raha hai, aur pataakhen bhi saath laa raha hai! Pathaan trailer out now! Releasing in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on 25th Jan 2023.”
John Abraham tweeted, “Lights, camera, ACTION! Let's go... #PathaanTrailer out now. Celebrate #Pathaan with #YRF50 only at a big screen near you on 25th January. Releasing in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. ”
The film’s song Besharam Rang has been at the centre of netizens’ ire ever since it was released in December
Bahraich’s Child Welfare Commission ordered UP DGP to have the song ‘Besharam Rang’ and some of its clips removed from social media platforms. As per the CWC, these might have “an adverse impact on the psyche of adolescents”
In December, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) advised the makers of Pathaan to make some more changes to the film including its songs
CBFC chairman Prasoon Joshi said, “CBFC is always committed to find the right balance between creative expression and sensibility of the audience and believe that we can always find solution through meaningful dialogue between all stakeholders.”
Bajrang Dal members removed posters of the film at a theatre at a mall in Ahmedabad and warned makers to not release the film
Hindu Jagran Manch protested against Pathaan’s release and raised slogans at INOX theatres in Indore. They submitted a memorandum to the theatre management to not release the film
The film will release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu across theatres on January 25. Directed by Siddharth Anand, Pathaan features Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in lead roles
