Munmun Dutta and Raj Anadkat, known for their roles as ‘Babita ji’ and ‘Tappu’ in the popular sitcom 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah', have taken a significant step in their relationship by exchanging engagement rings, said a report by News18 Showsha.
The engagement ceremony reportedly took place earlier this month in Gujarat, where the couple exchanged rings in the presence of their families.
Speculation surrounding the romantic involvement of the duo has been ongoing for a while, and the recent engagement rumors only amplify the speculation.
However, Raj Anadkat on his Instagram account said that all the rumours are baseless and false. Munmun Dutta is yet to respond the reports.
However, fans erupted in humorous memes when the reports came out. In the TV series, Anadkat (Tappu) plays the son of character Jethaalal, who has a crush on Munmun Dutta (Babitaji). A fan on X platform wrote, "Mohabbat Papa ki, Le beta gaya."
Despite the widespread reports, neither Munmun Dutta nor Raj Anadkat has officially confirmed their engagement, maintaining a level of privacy regarding their personal lives.
