State Bank of India (SBI), India's largest lender, reported an 8% year-on-year (YoY) growth in its Q2FY24 standalone net profit at Rs 14,330 crore. The lender’s net interest income during the quarter ended September 2023 increased 12.3% YoY to Rs 39,500 crore.  In an exclusive chat with BT TV's Managing Editor Siddharth Zarabi, SBI Chairman Dinesh Kumar Khara said, "The reason for this kind of result is impact of the increase in advances which had seen a uniformed growth out of retail, SMEs and corporate as well."

Two people, a 19-year-old youth from Telangana and a 21-year-old man, were arrested from Gujarat for allegedly sending multiple threatening emails to Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani. As per reports, the two did this just for thrill.

Glitches with Zerodha trading platform

Zerodha's trading platform Kite has been facing technical glitches for some time. After a technical issue last week, the platform is again facing some issue. Nithin Kamath and Nikhil Kamath-owned Zerodha wrote on X (Twitter), "Due to an intermittent issue, some of our users are not able to see executed orders in the orderbook. However, the executed orders are updated on the positions page. We're working on fixing this." The Kamath brothers have not posted anything on it yet.

Honasa Consumer IPO

The Honasa Consumer IPO, the parent company of brand Mamaearth, which ran from October 31 to November 02, was sold in the price range of Rs 308-324 apiece with a lot size of 46 shares. The IPO raised a total Rs 1,701 crore, which included a fresh issue of Rs 365 crore and an offer-for-sale (OFS) of up to 4.12 crore equity shares. The issue was subscribed 7.61 times during the three-day bidding process. The portion for qualified institutional bidders (QIBs) was booked at 11.50 times.
