How sitting is slowing killing you

Known as the sitting epidemic, the idea of sitting on your chair for long periods of time have devastating effects on your health. 

A study by Queen’s University Belfast in 2019 warned that the sitting epidemic caused nearly 70,000 deaths in the UK every year.

Studies have shown that sitting is associated with more than 30 chronic metabolic diseases, and high healthcare costs.

Stop sitting, get up and take a walk every 30 minutes, suggest experts.
