Hakarl, a saltwater fish dish from Iceland, topped the list.

The Indian dish that featured on the world’s worst-rated foods list is aloo baingan.

Aloo baingan, a commonly cooked dish in Indian households, ranked 60 on the list.

TasteAtlas, a food guide, curated the list based on the ratings of their audience.

396,447 ratings were recorded, of which 273,250 were recognised as legitimate by the TasteAtlas team.

TasteAtlas recently released the list of world’s most legendary restaurants as well.

Several Indian restaurants such as Paragon (Kozhikode), Peter Cat (Kolkata) and Karim’s (Delhi) among others featured on the list.
