Chinese carmaker BYD launched its electric sedan in India. It will be priced in the range of Rs 41 lakh, 45.5 lakh, and 53 lakh
BYD Seal will be the company’s third offering after EV6 electric MPV and Atto3 electric SUV.
Seal will come to India via the semi-knocked down route, meaning it be assembled at the Chinese carmaker’s existing facility in Sriperumbudur, Chennai.
The BYD Seal EV has single variant equipped with an 82.5kWh battery pack, delivering claimed range of 570km on a single charge.
BYD wants to make space in the premium electric sedan market.
It is looking at entrepreneurs, businessmen, young IT professionals, unicorn founders or even luxury car owners who want an EV.
