Unveiling of the Cyberster

MG Motor India has officially unveiled the Cyberster for the first time in the country, signaling its entry into the electric sportscar segment. Alongside this announcement, the automaker has confirmed plans to introduce a new network of premium outlets to cater to its upmarket offerings.

Premium Showroom Strategy

While specific models to be sold from these premium showrooms are yet to be confirmed, the Cyberster is a probable candidate. This move aligns with MG's vision to expand its presence in the premium automotive segment in India.

Features of the Cyberster

The Cyberster, MG's inaugural electric sportscar, is slated for international sales later this year. It comes with two battery pack and motor options, offering impressive performance and range.

Performance Specs

The entry-level variant boasts a single rear axle-mounted 308hp motor, paired with a 64kWh battery and a claimed range of 520km. Meanwhile, the range-topping model features a 77kWh battery pack, delivering a CLTC-rated range of 580km, with a combined output of 544hp and 725Nm torque.

Dimensions and Competition

Positioned as a rival to the next-gen Porsche 718 lineup, the Cyberster is slightly larger than the current Boxster. With dimensions measuring 4,533mm in length, 1,912mm in width, and 1,328mm in height, it offers a competitive stance in its segment.

Interior and Exterior Highlights

For a detailed look at the Cyberster's interior and exterior design elements, MG Motor has provided an exclusive story, confirming the electric convertible's showcase in India.

Expected Pricing

MG Motor aims to position the Cyberster as an "affordable" sportscar, with an anticipated starting price of around GBP 50,000 (approximately Rs 53 lakh). This pricing strategy makes it an attractive option even by Indian standards.

Additional Showcase

In addition to the Cyberster, MG Motor has also presented the 4 EV hatchback and the 5 EV estate at the event, further diversifying its electric vehicle portfolio. These models, previously showcased at the Auto Expo, offer different battery options and range specifications, catering to varying customer preferences.
