Market recap: Sensex, Nifty extend gains

Domestic benchmarks on Thursday continued their upward run for the fifth straight session, led by gains in state-owned lenders, pharma, metals and auto stocks. Headline index NSE Nifty closed 168 points or 0.75% higher at 22,570-level. The 30-share BSE pack jumped 487 points or 0.66% to end at 74,339. India VIX, fear index, surged 4.42% to 10.73-level.

Stocks with potential 'Buy' calls for April 26

For April 26 (Friday), market analyst from a domestic brokerage has assigned 'Buy' calls for Hero MotoCorp, GMR Infra and REC shares. Check stock price targets, analysis, investment rationale and other crucial details about these technical bets.

Hero MotoCorp share  price target

LTP: Rs 4,500.45 | SL: Rs 4,330 An analyst from Prabhudas Lilladher (PL) has given 'Buy' call on Hero MotoCorp Ltd shares with a target price of Rs 4,940. The scrip has jumped 79.65% in the past one year. "The stock has signalled a buy with much upside potential visible. With charts looking attractive, we suggest to buy it for an upside target of Rs 4,940, keeping stop loss placed at Rs 4,330," said Shiju Koothupalakkal, Technical Research Analyst at PL.

GMR Infra share price target

LTP: Rs 85.40 | SL: Rs 81 The PL analyst has also selected GMR Airports Infrastructure Ltd in his stock recommendations. He has given a 'Buy' call on the counter with a target price of Rs 98 per share. The scrip has gained 90.63% in a year. "The stock can carry on its positive move further. With charts looking good, we suggest to buy and accumulate it for an upside target of Rs 98, keeping stop loss at Rs 81," Koothupalakkal stated.

REC share price target

LTP: Rs 452.45 | SL: Rs 425 The analyst from PL has included REC Ltd in his stock suggestions as well with 'Buy' call for a target of Rs 515. The multibagger counter has rallied 261.09% in the past one year. "The stock is indicating a trend reversal. Traders can buy and accumulate it for an upside target of Rs 515. Stop loss will be at Rs 425," Koothupalakkal mentioned.

Nifty outlook

"Over the short term, Nifty may remain strong with upside potential ranging between 22,750 and 22,800. On the lower end, support is placed at 22,450," said Rupak De, Senior Technical Analyst, LKP Securities.
