The Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) has announced the schedule for the annual pilgrimage to the revered Amarnath shrine in the south Kashmir Himalayas, commencing on June 29 and concluding on August 19.

Commencement of Registration

Registration for the 52-day-long yatra began on April 15 through designated bank branches, allowing devotees to secure their spot for the spiritual journey.

Registration Process Overview

Pilgrims are required to complete the registration process at designated bank branches using biometric eKYC authentication in real-time, ensuring a seamless and efficient registration experience.

First-Come, First-Served Basis

Registration is conducted on a first-come, first-served basis, emphasizing the importance of early registration to secure a place for the pilgrimage.

Documents Required for Registration

Interested travelers must register with a valid Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC) issued by an authorized doctor, Aadhar Card, or a government-recognized valid identity card obtained on or after April 8, 2024.

Registration Fee

The registration fee for Yatra 2024 is Rs 150 per person, ensuring accessibility for devotees from diverse backgrounds.

Collection of RFID Card

Registered passengers must collect the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) card from designated centers in Jammu and Kashmir divisions before commencing the journey, essential for entry control at Domel/Chandanwadi.

Designated Routes  for Yatra

Pilgrims can choose between the traditional 48-kilometer Nunwan-Pahalgam route in Anantnag district or the shorter but steeper 14-kilometer Baltal route in Ganderbal district, offering flexibility in pilgrimage options.

To ensure a safe and seamless pilgrimage experience, pilgrims must adhere to guidelines such as obtaining a medical certificate, complying with document format requirements, and adhering to age and pregnancy restrictions.
