Wipro's executive chairman said his moonlighting comment has been blown out of proportion. "I very much support gig economy but if you have a contract with an organisation, you have to honour that," said Premji
The euphoria of last two years has mellowed and attrition coming down in the last couple of quarters is a great indication of that, said Premji
"We were the most outperforming stock in 2021. The advantage of a stable ownership allows us to think long-term," said Premji when asked about Wipro stock's underperformance in 2022
"The future of work will be hybrid. We have to think purposefully about how to access talent from smaller towns," said Premji
"People shouldn't be traveling an hour each way to build an app that can deliver something to you in 10 minutes. The city I live in (Bengaluru) recognises good infra will improve productivity," said Premji
"I see huge profound impact of ChatGPT but it's still early days. It will improve workforce productivity, research but scalable use cases still have to develop," said Premji
"There are jobs that are repetitive, error-prone, laborious that can be automated. Upskilling and co-skilling is needed for upcoming professionals to stay relevant," said Premji
