OnePlus India has announced that it will give lifetime warranty for its phones that have been affected by green screen issue.
The company says this warranty covers all models, but some phones won't be covered.
The devices like OnePlus 8 Pro, OnePlus 8T, OnePlus 9, and OnePlus 9R, won't be covered because there are no "spare parts" to fix the issue.
But, it will "discount voucher" for OnePlus 8 Pro, OnePlus 8T, OnePlus 9, and OnePlus 9R users in India.
OnePlus 8 Pro users will receive a Rs 25,500 voucher, while the OnePlus 8T is eligible for a voucher value worth Rs 20,000.
OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9T are receiving a voucher value worth Rs 23,500 and Rs 19,000, respectively.
But, why is OnePlus offering a lifetime warranty to OnePlus users in India?
Some OnePlus users have been complaining about a strange green screen issue via social media.
While phones are still functional, the green line stays and hampers the overall scrolling experience.
The problem seems to be more common among OnePlus phones with an AMOLED display.
