Start slowly: If you’re new to retinol, begin by using it 2-3 times a week and gradually increase the frequency as your skin builds tolerance.

Apply a pea-sized amount: Dispense a small, pea-sized amount of retinol (you don’t need much).

Areas to avoid: Avoid the areas around your eyes and mouth, as they can be more sensitive. Avoid cracks of nostrils.

Use only at night: Retinol should be applied in the evening, as it can make your skin more sensitive to the sun.

Apply to larger surface areas: Dot the retinol on your forehead, cheeks, chin, and nose, and then gently massage it into your skin.

Use sunscreen in the morning: Always apply sunscreen with at least SPF 30 in the morning, even if you’re indoors.
