The US has recently announced a ban on China’s video hosting app TikTok on government devices. Citing security concerns, the US government gave 30 days to officials to remove TikTok app from all government devices. But the US is not the only country to do, take a look at other nations which have banned TikTok
India was among the first nations to announce a ban on the Chinese app TikTok in 2020. TikTok created a rage in India with more than 200 million users by 2020. The ByteDance-owned app became a source of revenue for several youngsters in India but it came under scrutiny for data security.

Pakistan had banned the Chinese app TikTok in July 2021 but reversed it later in November after the owners of the platform assured control of “immoral and unlawful” content

The European Parliament on Feb 28 banned TikTok from staff devices over cybersecurity concerns, meaning the Chinese video-sharing app is now barred in all three of the EU's main institutions
Some other countries which have banned the Chinese TikTok app are Taiwan and Afghanistan. Taiwan had placed a ban on TikTok after the FBI warned of security risk. Along with TikTok, Taiwan also banned Douyin or Xiaohongshu
