Kashmir Files actor Anupam Kher shared the news of Satish Kaushik’s death on Twitter and wrote, “I know ‘death is the ultimate truth of this world!’ But I never thought in my dreams that I would write thing about my best friend Satish Kaushik while alive. Such a sudden full stop on friendship of 45 years!! Life will NEVER be the same without you SATISH! Om Shanti! (sic)”
Kangana Ranaut also mourned the death of Satish Kaushik and wrote, “Woke up to this horrible news, he was my biggest cheerleader, a very successful actor and director #SatishKaushik ji personally was also a very kind and genuine man, I loved directing him in Emergency. He will be missed, Om Shanti”

Satish Kaushik was born on April 13, 1956, in Haryana. He is an alumnus of the National School of Drama (NSD)and the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII). He started out as a theatre artist and later stepped into the Bollywood industry
Satish started his acting career in 1982. His last film was Kangana Ranaut's directorial Emergency which is slated to be released this year where he plays the role of India’s former Defence Minister Jagjivan Ram
Other notable films of his career are Mr India, where he played a character named Calendar, Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron, Saajan Chale Sasural, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Udta Punjab and Soorma
