Sensex, Nifty trading in red

The domestic equity market was trading lower in the afternoon session today. Sensex fell 233 points to 72,255 and Nifty lost 67 pts to 21,928.

More FII selling expected in the near-term

VK Vijayakumar, Chief Investment Strategist, Geojit Financial Services said, “The sharp spike in US bond yields triggered big FII selling which touched Rs 4260 crore yesterday. More FII selling can be expected in the near-term putting pressure on large caps. Investors may wait for clarity to emerge on the geopolitical front. Uncertainty is very high.”

Grasim Industries

Shares of Grasim Industries rose 4.64 per cent to Rs 1021 on BSE today. Market cap of the firm rose to Rs 2229 crore. Total 189 shares of the firm changed hands amounting to a turnover of 1.87 lakh.

KPI Green Energy

Shares of KPI Green Energy slipped 4.17% to Rs 1692 today. Market cap of the firm fell to Rs 10, 285 crore on BSE. Total 0.26 lakh shares of the firm changed hands amounting to a turnover of Rs 4.48 crore. The stock was among the top losers on BSE.

Ion Exchange

Shares of Ion Exchange slipped nearly 4 per cent to Rs 535.50 on BSE today. Market cap of the firm fell to Rs 7885.53 crore. Total 0.10 lakh shares of the firm changed hands amounting to a turnover of Rs 54.93 lakh.

Tata Communications

Tata Communications shares slipped 6% to Rs 1740.90 in the afternoon session today. Market cap of the firm fell to Rs 50,268 crore. A total of 0.59 lakh shares of the firm changed hands, amounting to a turnover of Rs 10.47 crore on BSE.

Bandhan Bank

The banking stock fell to a fresh 52-week low of Rs 170.35 in the current session. A total of 5.61 lakh shares of the lender changed hands, amounting to a turnover of Rs 9.63 crore on BSE. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 272 on June 1, 2023.

Vedanta

Vedanta stock hit a fresh 52 week high of Rs 396.95 on Friday. Market cap of the firm climbed to Rs 1.44 lakh crore. A total of 17.88 lakh shares of the firm changed hands, amounting to a turnover of Rs 69.72 crore on BSE.
