A person dressed in a casual T-shirt and pyjamas and another person who seemed to be his driver were caught on camera stealing potted plants placed for the G20 Summit set to begin in Delhi today. As a video covering the entire incident went viral online, the netizens were quick to allege that the vehicle belongs to famous YouTuber Elvish Yadav. This allegation is basis the number plate of the vehicle which was allegedly used by the influencer in another show in Jaipur
Soon after #GamlaChor and #ElvishYadav started trending on social media with several netizens slamming the influencer for stealing public property. The video went viral and the YouTuber had to issue a clarification where he denies involvement in any such activity
Elvish Yadav tweeted, “This is not my vehicle. I kindly ask everyone not to spread any untrue information about me. I'm suing the people who are spreading false information about me”
Even after the clarification, the netizens have been flooding Elvish Yadav’s Twitter feed with nasty messages and memes about potted plants and the theft. He again tweeted, “Just because I was seen in a car once, doesn't mean I own it. Some filthy minds who have a habit of creating fake narratives once again came out of their ratholes with a cooked-up story".
