Sensex, Nifty trading  in green

The domestic equity market was trading lower in early deals today. Sensex rose 200 points to 74,076 and Nifty gained 38 pts to 22,473.

Q4 earnings to drive market

V K Vijayakumar, Chief Investment Strategist, Geojit Financial Services said, " Global and domestic cues indicate that the market is likely to consolidate in the coming days and start responding to Q4 results as they start coming. So, Q4 results will be the next major trigger for the market from a sectoral and stock-specific perspective. Market expects good results from autos, capital goods, telecom and select pharmaceuticals.”

Tata Steel

Tata Steel shares were trading flat at Rs 162.95 today. Tata Steel stock opened higher at Rs 165.75 against the previous close of Rs 163.60 on BSE. Market cap of the firm stood at Rs 2.03 lakh crore. Total 0.25 lakh shares of the firm changed hands amounting to a turnover of Rs 42.38 crore.

Alkyl Amines Chemicals

Shares of Alkyl Amines Chemicals zoomed 12% to Rs 2180.20. Total 0.25 lakh shares of the firm changed hands amounting to a turnover of Rs 5.34 crore in early deals. Market cap of the firm rose to Rs 11,074 crore

KEC International

Shares of KEC International Ltd hit a record high on Thursday after the global infrastructure EPC major said it won new orders of Rs 816 crore across its various businesses. KEC International shares zoomed 15% to Rs 838.25 in early deals today. Market cap of the firm climbed to Rs 21,241 crore.

HDFC Bank

Shares of HDFC Bank gained 2.93% to a high of Rs 152.05 on BSE. Market cap of the bank rose to Rs 11.57 lakh crore. Total 12.03 lakh shares of the firm changed hands amounting to a turnover of Rs 182.49 crore. The rally in the stock came after it announced its Q4 business updates.

Vodafone Idea

Shares of Vodafone Idea fell over 3% to Rs 13.08 today. Market cap of the firm slipped to Rs 64,403 crore on BSE. A total of 932.45 lakh shares of the firm changed hands amounting to a high turnover of Rs 126.82 crore on BSE.

Som Distilleries

Shares of Som Distilleries Ltd rose nearly 4% today after the firm announced a stock split in the ratio of 5:2. Sentiment around the stock was also positive as the firm said it achieved highest-ever beer sales in a month (March) since entering Karnataka. The stock gained 3.90% to Rs 297.90 against the previous close of Rs 286.70.

Vedanta

Shares of metal and mining major Vedanta Ltd hit their 52 week high in early deals today as the firm said it delivered highest ever annual volume across key businesses. The shares of Anil Agarwal-led firm rose 4.67% to a 52-week high of Rs 312.50 in early deals.
